We strive to produce delicious food that’s healthy and well-presented. Our two intimate dining rooms, thoughtfully situated in one of Oriental’s lovely turn-of-the-20th-century homes, provide a friendly, casual place to sit and relax.
And the entire menu is available for carry-out, so if the weather’s nice you can head to the boat or enjoy an impromptu picnic without any fuss and bother. Carryout meals come neatly packaged and can easily be reheated when you’re ready to eat—even if we’re closed! Call ahead and we can have your order ready and waiting for you when you come to town. ORGANIC COFFEES AND TEAS
You’ll find a generous assortment of organic whole-bean coffees and loose leaf teas at the Village Food Emporium. Our private label coffees are freshly roasted for us, then properly packaged and shipped to preserve their rich, fresh taste. They’re also brewed in house, allowing you to sample the quality before you buy. 
Our selection of fine organic teas is unmatched in the area. We carry Rishi Tea exclusively—black, green, herbal, and white blends from around the world—all hand picked, fair trade/direct from farmer and organically grown. In addition, you’ll find Rishi Iced Tea blends (both with and without caffein), and Organic Masala Chai Tea concentrate.

We can order fine, hand-made cheeses imported from around the globe just for you. Made according to centuries-old recipes, these cheese deliver exceptional flavor, texture, and aromas for connoisseurs and novices alike. Discover the difference and treat yourself and your guests next time you entertain.
Because these are hand-made cheeses, availability is seasonal. Recent examples our customers have enjoyed include: Coulummiers (a mild Brie-like round), Geit-in-Stad (a young goat cheese), award-winning Grasslands Blue, ever-popular Hudson Valley Camembert, artisanal Manchego and Parmigiano Reggiano (need I say more?),
buttery-good Pont l’Eveque, Pang’s favorite—Roomano, and a rich, slightly pungent Tomme de Savoie.

RESPONSIBLE PACKAGING
We use only environmentally friendly biodegradable packaging at the Village Food Emporium. Pang, our resident dragon, genuinely dislikes plastic and styrofoam cups, cutlery, and containers that too frequently litter our beautiful land- and water-scapes!

FRESH BREADS AND BAKED GOODS
We bake breads each morning, along with muffins and cookies. 
But if you need someone to prepare a a really special dessert, like a beautiful cheese cake, we can do that, too. In fact, we love to bake for special occasions, whether you need breads, pies, rolls, cookies, cakes, or delicious scones. But please call ahead (at least two days) to place those special orders. You’ll be glad you did!
